Verizon Ad Admires First Responders After Wildfire Throttling Scam

This week, Verizon rolled out a Super Bowl ad campaign in honor of first responders, months after a scam over strangling firefighters in California during a wildfire crisis.

The ad comprises first responders’ interviews and concludes with a message from the firm: “First responders respond to our call. Our duty is to make certain that they can get it.” The ad then directs users to a site, AllOurThanks.com, which comprises interviews with athletes in NFL clarifying how first responders came to their help at the time of emergencies.

Verizon claims on the site that it is operating with the Gary Sinise Foundation, which offers to first responders and their relatives, and it will invest $1 for citations of the campaign on social network. The site also claims that Verizon has made “a devoted lane for first responders” to keep their offering operating at the time of network backups. While some viewers of Super Bowl might have missed the subtext, the campaign comes after criticism over the firm’s work with firefighters during California wildfires last year.

Speaking of Verizon, the firm almost certainly is not the first name that will come to mind when you considering of video games, but it seems that the carrier has huge gaming plans for the future. As per the media reports, the firm is operating on it and is already alpha testing Verizon Gaming, the cloud gaming service for the PlayStation Now.

Based on the forum emails and posts that the media saw, Verizon has been appointing testers for a while now, offering qualified candidates an Xbox One Controller and a free NVIDIA Shield TV, where the service is already operating with 135 games. Testers also receive an Amazon gift card worth $150 as a reward. Leaked screenshots of the edition being trialed display popular games such as God of War, Fortnite, Red Dead Redemption, and Detroit Become Human.
